Chaque portrait traite à sa manière de questions aussi
diverses et cruciales que l'accès au financement, l'impact des actions menées
sur l’environnement du jeune, les relations entamées avec d'autres jeunes et
l'utilisation des technologies numériques dans l'agripreneuriat.
Ces
agripreneurs ont su se montrer innovants dans la production, la transformation
des produits agricoles, dans les emplois verts et la nutrition, mais aussi dans
les technologies et les services. Ainsi, Thierno Souleymane Agne, un Sénégalais
de 29 ans, a converti ses clients à la fraise bio. De son côté, Alphonse Sié
Palm s’est lancé dans l’engraissement de porcs de race Large White à Dolo, au
Burkina Faso. Halatou Dem a rejoint sa mère et fait fructifier l’entreprise
Danaya Céréales au Mali… Chaque exemple montre toujours les mêmes facteurs clés
de succès : ténacité et détermination du porteur de projet. Surtout, ces
jeunes entrepreneurs ont su sortir de leur zone de confort, que ce soit en
rompant avec la tradition qui rend difficile l’accès à la terre ou avec le
regard de la famille, dubitative face à un changement d’orientation après des
études, par exemple. Créateurs d’emplois et sources d’inspiration, ces jeunes
interagissent avec leur environnement et les autres jeunes susceptibles de se
lancer dans le secteur agricole.
